Crooked teeth are usually the result of the improper developments of the jaws due to the combination of genetics and environmental factors. There are few ways to align the teeth and the most common way is the use of braces and Invisalign. Invisalign involves a series of clear aligners which will be worn and replaced weekly. They are made based on smart technology and are very aesthetic compared to traditional braces.
The most important factor beside the straightening the teeth is to make sure the bite ( how the upper and lower teeth coming together ) is correct and stable. Unfortunately many dentist and orthodontist only focus on how the end result looks like as opposed to how stable it is. We use itero 3D scanner to get the most accurate digital impression and avoid any error. It also helps people who gag on impression materials.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
You wear each set of aligners for about two weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss. As you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will move — little by little, week by week — until they have straightened to the final position as prescribed. You’ll visit our office about once every three months to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned. Total treatment time averages 9-15 months.
